I have savings of around 4000 dollars, as well as money in funds I will utilize. I also plan to work and save money, and reach out to family and friends I know would like to support, even with a small sum. With a contribution from the Tsadra foundation of 80% of the retreat cost, I am confident I can cover the rest myself. +

I fundraised $4,000 in donations through a crowdsourced campaign, a portion of which was spent on moving costs and personal shrine items. My remaining savings, including funds earned from selling the majority of my possessions is $6,000. For my first year in retreat, I will use this money to pay $500 of my monthly rent which is $950. The remaining $450 will be paid through pledges from 15 sponsors. I am requesting the $500 monthly amount I will need for the remaining 30 months I will be in retreat, after the first 12. Lastly, I was awarded $400 from Jnanasukha which I am going to reserve for money needed for additional costs of ritual items and possible medical needs. +
My mother has kindly offered to support me to the extent she can (approx. $50
a month), and I am actively seeking sponsors who may be able to help lessen
the requested amount. +

I currently have no income and no personal savings. My family will be sponsoring the first four months of my three year retreat, and have indicated that if necessary they will try to sponsor my entire retreat. However, this would entail a serious financial challenge for my family, which is why I am applying for the Tsadra Foundation Scholarship. +

I will not have family support or sponsors. I do not know to what extent you want the money details at this point but to be brief i don't have all the details of costs and revenue yet but i believe i'll have enuf to pay the monthly retreat fee which i've been told is around $800-$900. However there will be additional costs connected with the retreat itself and there will definitely be additional costs in my case as a Canadian who will be have to move to Calif. and furthermore get some kind of medical coverage. Since my pension will be very small (not much more than $1000/mth or so) i'd be grateful for a bit of help from Tsadra Foundation. +
