Group Rituals. Individual practice is up to the individual. +
Instruction will be given both in Tibetan with English translation and in English. Individual and group ritual practice will be performed in Tibetan. +
The rituals will be conducted in Tibetan from texts containing the Tibetan, the English and with transliteration. Teachings will be given in Tibetan with translation into English. +

Sadhana only will be in Tibetan, instruction, personal practice etc, will be in English. I have studied some Tibetan vocabulary and alphabet on my own and will start beginners Tibetan with Lama Tendron in September before retreat starts. +

Instruction, Group Rituals, & Individual Practice all occur in Tibetan. We are encouraged to learn as much Tibetan as possible, and not everything is translated during teachings. Private study is encouraged as well. +

Some knowledge of Tibetan is required. All group rituals and individual practices are in Tibetan. Instructions and teachings are usually in Tibetan with a translator. Lama Tharchin RinpochŽ encourages us to learn as much spoken and written Tibetan as possible. +

There are many aspects in Tibetan but we always have translations available. Many of us are studying so we won't need translations eventually. We do solitary sessions in Tibetan, group pujas, wangs and ceremonies and if Lama Ngawang is available to translate Rinpoche teaches in Tibetan. Lama Tendron teaches a literary Tibetan class once a week, which I attend. I also meet with her privately and study daily on my own. Rinpoche has praised my dedication and progress. His encouragement along with the amazing depth and heart connection that learning Tibetan has brought to my practice has really driven me to use time between sessions to study. +

The minimum requirement in this retreat for Tibetan language is ability to read the Dudjom Tersar Ngondro text.
