Instructions will be given in Tibetan but there will be a translator. The texts and teaching materials are translated to English. Group practice (twice a month) will be chanted in Tibetan. Individual practice can be chanted in Tibetan or in English.  +
We do group protectors practice each evening, Tsok bi-weekly, and 2 Drunpchu a year. The liturgy for these practices is in Tibetan but written in English. We read in Tibetan but it is not required to have an understanding of the words that are being pronounced. There is also an English translation available if one would like to know the translation.  +

All group practices/rituals will be chanted in Tibetan as well as most individual practice. Teachings from the Lama will be translated from Tibetan into English.  +
I will have English (and Polish) translation of most (if not all) sadhanas and practices during a retreat. My teacher, however recommends basic knowledge of sadhanas in Tibetan language.  +

Sadhana practice.  +
All of my practice texts, prayers, rituals. Commentaries, namtars, etc are in Tibetan as was the case during my previous three-year retreats.  +
Individual practices, prayers, and supplementary reading will be the only parts of this retreat in Tibetan, as I can and do read Tibetan, but my retreat guide is an American who has little Tibetan language facility, having been transmitted the Dharma in English.  +
All the pechas that will be used throughout the retreat have not only the tibetan script but also the phonetic transliteration, as well as the English translation. Group chanting and individual practice will be in Tibetan using these texts. For instructions, there will always be an English translator present when the Drupon Lama is imparting the teachings. This is why Tibetan language and reading comprehension is recommended but not mandatory for the retreat at Kagyu Thubten Choling. A person that possess good English skills can participate in all the activities the retreat has to offer.  +
All instructions and sadhana practices are translated into French. We can choose between Tibetan or French for all the individual daily practices. For the group rituals, each week or month we will decide with the other retreatants in which language we want to sing (usually one week/month French and one week/month Tibetan)  +
