|SolHermDescription=I wish to do my retreat at Rinchen Ling, a retreat center located near Périgueux, where I | |||
currently live. Rinchen Ling was originally established in the 1970s as a Zen Buddhist
retreat center. Later, it was acquired by the Nyingma tradition, and two traditional
retreats were held here under the guidance of Khyentse Rinpoche. Today, it is an
individual retreat center under the responsibility of Pema Wangyal Rinpoche.
There are currently six residents at the center, including two women who are in lifelong
retreat. | |||
My hermitage is a small, isolated cabin that I have equipped with a dry toilet and running
water, allowing me to be fully independent and not rely on communal bathrooms or
kitchen. | |||
Although Rinchen Ling is not as secluded as Chanteloube—due to the proximity of a
nearby town, a road running in front of the center, and new houses being built around it
—the center still sits on several acres of land in the countryside, surrounded by a forest.
This setting offers a peaceful environment for retreat, despite the occasional noise from
the outside world. | |||
The cabin itself is simple and modest, with a heater to keep it warm. It includes a twin
room, which I can use as a food storage area and kitchen. For my needs, the space is
perfectly sized and feels almost luxurious for a retreat setting.

|letterofmotivation=At the age of 28, I began my first traditional Buddhist retreat at a Kagyu lineage center in France, fulfilling my deep aspiration to dedicate myself fully to spiritual practice. Since then, I have remained committed to my Dharma path, and although doubts sometimes arise about my progress, I have never wavered in my belief that the Buddha’s teachings will lead me to the freedom I seek—for myself and for others. | |letterofmotivation=At the age of 28, I began my first traditional Buddhist retreat at a Kagyu lineage center in France, fulfilling my deep aspiration to dedicate myself fully to spiritual practice. Having received numerous teachings and transmissions from authentic masters, I feel a strong responsibility to continue this path. Once I complete my current accumulations and translation work, I plan to enter a three-year Yidam retreat in January 2026, dedicating myself fully to this transformative journey. | Having received numerous teachings and transmissions from authentic masters, I feel a strong responsibility to continue this path. This scholarship would enable me to dedicate myself fully to my practice, deepen my spiritual development, and contribute more meaningfully to the Dharma. | This scholarship would enable me to dedicate myself fully to my practice, deepen my spiritual development, and contribute more meaningfully to the Dharma. | ||
