Although my three-year retreat was very practice oriented, spending most of our time in thun meditating, there were also periods where we spent some time engaging in more advanced Buddhist studies. Throughout our retreat, we received teachings on the nature of mind, and phenomena, as well as teachings on emptiness. +
I have taken online formal courses at Instituto Budadharma. For example: 37 practices that awaken the heart (by Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo), Life and death (Lama Jinpa), Remove the self-delusion, awaken compassion (by Damchö), Karma: What is it and how to change it? (by Damchö), The life of Buddha and his community (by Damchö).
Also, I have listen and participated in advanced teachings given by Venerable Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche. For example, the Six Paramitas, Long-Form of Bodhisattva Vows, Chenrezig and Green Tara practice. +
Currently I am reading Mahakala sadhana and participating in Mahakala practice everyday at KTD to increase the speed of chanting in preparation for retreat.
2010 & 2011 I have been studying Literary Tibetan and translation of Sadhanas with Lama Willa Miller, a two times 3-year retreatant and student of the previous Kalu Rinpoche and Lama Norlha Rinpoche.

Living at Zen Mountain Monastery for three years was in many ways an advanced Buddhist studies program. The monastic life was rigorous, with a daily schedule that began around 4:30am and completed around 9:00pm each day. One week of every month was sesshin (silent meditation intensive), which included 10+ hours of meditation per day. Twice a year, we did three-month intensives called "ango," where we made commitments to intensify our practice. Each of these ango training periods included a main study text which we studied together through a weekly study group with the abbot. During my time studying at ZMM, I also worked very closely with my teacher, and started doing koan practice (advanced meditation study).
Since moving out of ZMM in March, I have done several retreats at KTD and am working directly with Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche. +
Yes, I completed a six year course of study called "Zhung Chen Chu Sum" at Dzongsar Shedra at Bir, which included Prajnaparamita, Shantideva's Bodhichitta practice, Madhyamika texts and Tsema (debate). I passed yearly exams and graduated with a certificate. +

From Chagdud Rinpoche I received three weeks of intensive and extensive teachings in retreat on the Dudjom Tersar Ngondro.
From Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche I've received teachings on the Longchen Nyngtik Ngondro, the 9th chapter of Shantideva's Bodhisattvacharyavatara and have listened to many hours of recordings of his various teachings on this famous text which I chose to focus on as my main Mahayana text for this lifetime. +

Experiential Buddhist Foundation course (one Semester part of the Buddhist Experiential Pedagogy Diploma at Abidingheart Education, a program by Mingyur Rinpoche)
In this Semester, the focus is exclusively on stablishing a good fundation in the buddhist view, in an academic standard, but through a different experiential pedagogical approach which doesn't only focus on the intelectual aspect, but also mingles dynamics that allow the experience to permiate our being in a wholistic way. It was like diving into Buddhist philosophy with the head, hart, and hands. +
