Design & development of website for a Gurdjieff/Bennett related work group - 2009. +
2007-2008:
- Pro bono website design and development for a group in the JG Bennett line of Grudjieff work, based in Massachussetts, USA.
2016:
- Gave a talk about the 3-year retreat at Ort der Stille yoga center, Hamburg +
volunteer for cleaning and transportation in Garchen institute since 2008 +
Assistant cook and assistant administrator at the Sivanada Yoga Ashram in Bahamas as well as in Kerala, during a 1 and a 3 month, respectively, karmayoga retreat, 2002 and 2004.
Cooking, gardening and flower arrangements for the shrine at Amaravati Monastery, England during periodic stays between 2005-2008. +
As a translator, I have been working with Translators Without Borders since 2021, offering translation of humanitarian texts. +
Worked with Wim Hof to build his winter retreat center in Poland. +

Presently I do not do any community work outside of Mangala Shri Bhuti. +
During retreat, we (all retreatants) serve during a daily work period (1-2 hours) to maintain and general upkeep of the Sangdo Palri Temple and the land of Samten Ling retreat center. As well, during programs like Losar, Vajra assembly and drupchos we join in preparing and serving according to what is needed. Varying from setting up for group practice, making protector offerings (daily), coordination of the tsok, torma making, to trash removal and more.
I offer support to fellow students in friendship and guidance on their path. +
-Assisted in acquisition and development of our retreat center, Samten Ling, from 1993 to present. This included delineating boundaries, selecting retreat cabin sites, helping to build the cabins, and running the center on a day to day basis.
-Also assisted in the overall development of the MSB sangha from its inception in 1990 under the guidance of Ven. Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche.
-Served as Rinpoche's personal secretary from 1990 to 1992.
-Traveled with Rinpoche on over a dozen teaching tours as his attendant.
-Taught Uttaratantrashastra course (one semester) in 1991 at Naropa University in the stead of Kongtrul Rinpoche, who was in Asia during this time upon HH Khyentse Rinpoche's passing. +

I have volunteered for various cancer organizations (as a survivor myself), and teaching English while I was young in Beijing, and again in Panama now where I currently live. I have worked together with the Panamanian government in several different political and state capacities. In Panama, for a lack of centers, I find myself as a natural leader in discussing Buddhism, but have only felt qualified enough to hold an egalitarian reading group to discuss general topics. +
At Karma Tashi Ling temple in Oslo, helping the community to fix any technical issues they meet when I have the opportunity to travel there. +
Since I was nineteen I have engaged in community work projects in different countries.
I always like to be part of community projects, either by volunteering or by offering my support.
As my training is in youth psychology and education, my heart is always involved in projects to help improve the situation of children under risk, at the same time of contributing to the shift in education I believe the world needs.
I have been in India, in Panama and in Perú working with disadvantaged children.
The most amazing one was in Panama, where they offered dance classes and school support to children that would otherwise be spending their time in very dangerous neibourghoods filled with wapons and drug dealing.
I believe there is a lot of goodness that can manifest through offering children in need the love and care they deserve, and the tools for their appropriate development: nature, free play, responsiveness and the right stimulation at the right time. +
