When I met my teacherÅs sponsor after the last retreat, he requested me to do the next retreat in Spain, so upon I informing him that His Holiness had told me to continue with retreat in the West, he invited me and my sister to Spain. However, in April, he announced that he will only sponsor the retreat until January 2012, but pledged to renovate the old farm house in Vistabella. It is uncertain that this will be accomplished in the near future, but it is certain that the present house, which I am in fact house-sitting, will be available for another 2 years, as the owner fears ÅoccupantsÃ Ä prior to our arrival people broke into the house. Hence, the owner provides the house, (my sisterÅs) car, freeway-toll, telephones, electricity, gas and water. I myself have used up all my savings for the last retreat, and have neither family nor friend support as my sister had to accept a low-wage employment due to our being in Spain, of which she pays back her study-debts. Hence I feel embarrassed that I had to include all of my expenditures in the budget & hope that my apology for it be accepted. +

The Maui sangha raised and donated $3,500 towards my retreat. Ani Shewang at the monastery has donated $9,500. I have no other financial support. My children are struggling to begin their own homes, and my Maui sangha has given all they can already. I am requesting $13,000, plus $1,000 for practice and shrine items I may need, plus a small personal stipend. My personal needs are very minimal; a small monthly stipend it would be so very much appreciated. The total is $14,000 plus the possible stipend. Thank you for your consideration. +
