Bodhisattva vows. Sangchö Genyen vows for retreat. +
Last year I was honored to take the Bodhisattva vow bestowed upon me by Lama Norlha, committing myself to maintain in Samsara for the benefit of all sentient beings, until their enlightenment. I have also on occasion taken lay precepts during various retreats I was on. +
I took the Bodhisattva vow prior to entering my first three-year retreat, around five years ago. Additionally, out of the kindness of Lama Norlha Rinpoche, upon our pilgrimage to India, we had the opportunity to take monastic ordination by HE Tai Situ Rinpoche in Sherab Ling, India, and I continue to hold my full ordination vows. +
I took the long-form Bodhisattva Vows and teachings on July 2014 with Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche at KTD Monastery. My bodhisattvi name is Semma Pema Yudrön (Lotus Turquoise Beacon). +

*I have taken all the lay precepts from Thrangu Rinpoche at his residence in Sarnath with a small group of other people.
*I have taken the Bodhisattva vow on multiple occasions. I have taken this vow with Dzongzar Kyentse Rinpoche, His Holiness Karmapa, Thrangu Rinpoche and Tai Situ Rinpoche

I took the Bodhisattva Vow (and Precepts) in the Zen tradition with Ryushin Sensei in November 2014.
I took the lay precepts with Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo in December 2014.
In April 2015, His Holiness Karmapa performed a hair cutting ceremony and gave me his formal blessing to become a nun. I am planning to take the novice monastic vows with Thrangu Rinpoche this coming August at Thrangu Monastery in Qinghai.

I received the bodhisattva vow from Bardor Tulku Rinpoche in 2004 and again from Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche in 2012. I received monastic vows in June of 2012 from Thrangu Rinpoche at his monastery in Vancouver. +
