I am requesting additional funding for the retreat due to the necessity of needing to repay student loans. Please see description of financial situation for more details. +
Through family support and personal savings, I manage to gather US$ 15.000, and will have a little bit more until the retreat begins. +
I will have between $13,00-$14,000 saved to take with me. $12,000 of that is my personal savings and the rest is from a sponsor. There have been a few others who have said they would like to sponsor part of it, but we haven't figured out exactly how much yet. +
I have not yet looked for alternative sponsorship for the retreat.
My personal savings and sponsorship from friends and family enable me to live at KTC monastery in preparation for retreat. +
I am requesting funding for the second two years of retreat, beginning in Fall 2017. My parents have agreed to fund the pre-retreat program as well as the first year of retreat. My personal savings have gone mainly towards acquiring materials for retreat. I have no other sponsors. +

My family has offered to help by sending money to the monastery monthly, but I am not sure how much they can realistically contribute. +
I had enough personal savings to be able to pay for my first three-year retreat in full. Being out of the work force for 5 years now has left me unable to meet my full obligations to the monastery for the cost of this retreat. +
When my grandfather passed away several years ago he left me several thousand dollars, which is currently all my savings, and the only other source of financial support I have. +

Due to my husband being unemployed this year and having only my income for the two of us, the resources we have in terms of savings are limited to what we will need to sustain ourselves this year while leaving at KTD. My family in Colombia cannot give me economic support for retreat. My husband will go into retreat at Karme Ling in 2012 as well. +
