Most of the Centers do not pay for volunteer work. DDL would give a small stipend but it was enough for me to purchase travel tickets to move to another Dharma. It has only recently that the Canadian government asked DDL to pay minimum wage even though that would not be enough to really earn any money. And only this year DDL pays more than the minimum wage to the workers but I also support my Ukrainian family who is now in Portugal. So therefore I'm asking for this amount of money that could cover my airplane tickets when I need to leave Canada and go back to my family + the cost of the liturgies.
